Blaque Butterfly: Urban Fiction Story Overview

R’Mell and Dre were two hustlers from the south side of Chicago. The game was ruthless and deadly, so they decided to run instead of fighting their way out of it. Los Angeles is where they chose to run to and make a better life for themselves. Both of them had to learn how to become entrepreneurs by day and hustlers by night. R’Mell tries to stay away from that life, but real life keeps pulling her back in. Especially when their nephew, Darren, was murdered by a hit man. R’Mell had to take off her new life and put back on her old life to find out who murdered him.

Dre’ is a construction worker by day and already a hustler by night. So that made finding the killers easy; the streets talk. They just have to step back into a world they both said they never would go back to without losing everything in the process.

Diamond and Chance lost a son to the streets, so they rely on the streets to help find his killer. Reese, a lawyer, must watch over her family to keep them out of jail. Their brother Ray is making that very difficult with the company he keeps.

However, the family has an enemy: Miguel Garcia. Miguel Garcia and his family want to take down the lives of R’Mell and Dre. He plans on doing it any way he can. Miguel has a vendetta against them and will not stop until he gets what he wants: them dead.
